Most teenage boys saw mowing the lawn as just a way to earn a little money during the summer. But that wasn’t the case for Michael Moeller of Rutherford. Michael started mowing lawns at age eleven and hasn’t stopped. He is now the owner of Moeller Lawn & Landscape, a successful lawn care business that also offers landscaping, irrigation, sod installation and much more.
Michael’s business has grown from using his dad’s riding and push mowers into a thriving business with several commercial John Deere zero turn mowers that make his business exponentially more efficient. Having started with residential lawns and church yards and cemeteries, Moeller Lawn & Landscape now also does extensive lawn care for businesses such as Southern Machinery Repair of Union City, and Texas Gas in Kenton. He currently takes care of the lawn-care needs of homes and business in Gibson, Obion, Weakley and Madison Counties.
Moeller Lawn & Landscape is indeed a “family” business. Aided by both his wife, April, and his mother and father, along with a full time employee, Michael stays busy plying his trade six days a week, yet still finds time to keep his Mamaw’s yard and flowerbeds tended and looking good! Michael and April have a daughter, Paislee, that loves to take a spin around the yard on her daddy’s mower also.
Michael has plans for future growth and expansion. He has a large greenhouse in which he already grows some of his plants, but one day hopes to increase his shrubbery and flowering plant business.
